instructions on fat quarter.

I will have instructions with photo and maybe a video on my blog. The link to blog is under my avatar on main page. when you get to the blog the drop down menu with all my instruction pages for projects is on top or right panel depending on what type of computer or laptop you are using. Basically, you will cut out the two pieces for each owl. You can use the ones I chose to go together or mix and match the belly with outside. I I hem the bottom straight part very small hem. Then I put right sides together matching bottoms. On one side I sew from bottom to just the top point only. Then match bottom and side to other side. this time you sew not only the belly to outside but instead of stopping at top you continue sewing up along the outside to tip. Slowly stitch with machine (unless you prefer to hand stitch.) to gather the belly sides to as it will want to gather but it matches fine if you slowly stitch. Next turn inside out after clipping any parts that were slightly rounded . clip off any large extra fabric. You will take the top pointy part and fold it down to just over the the belly. This point becomes the beak of the owl. Tack that down in place. couple stitches hidden underneath. At this point you want to decide if you Will add a hanger ribbon. It can go underneath the beak between your tack and top of head. I then stuff the owl. filling it in to be a fat owl or reg. owl. they all turn out unique. Now you want to do a running stitch along the bottom all around. Draw up the threads to seal the bottom with stuffing inside. I use many cross stitches and tie them off each time to keep closed. Finally sew one button eyes. I use some with four hole buttons or some with shanks. try different ones for the look you want. I like the 1/2 " buttons in various colors. You could glue owl eye to it for just a ornament. TIP: for cats, get some Cat nip and add to the stuffing to make. They will love that toy! make sure your buttons are sewn on really good for kids toys and cats. Small dogs may like a little stuffed owl too! Enjoy!
