Primo was one of Hawaii's first beers, brewed here in Hawaii starting in 1898 by long gone Honolulu Brewing & Malting Company. My Great Grandfather worked at that brewery during this period. It stayed Hawaii's beer, with a break for Prohibition, until 1979. No longer brewed locally, it had a resurgence in popularity since 2007 when Pabst Brewing Company decided to bring back the brand after years of absence. Cheers to beer! I gotta try me some of that... I was too young when my grand parents were drinking it originally! LOL!
