Birch, sassafras, red oak, white pine, stumpy's (honey mushrooms), amanita muscaria mushroom, moss, American toad, common bracken, low sweet blueberry, black raspberries, and deer mice. I decided to focus on the forest ground for this design. I love the smell of the forest, decay turning into an earthy scent as the seasons change. Invisible above ground, below ground, the mycelium and the mycorrhizal network connect the plants and allow them to communicate. This is my entry for the forest biome wallpaper challenge @spoonflower @fsc_international The color palette is taken from an old photo of myself and my cousin in the Manistee National Forest where multiple generations of our families have spent their lives.
