Cut and Sew Holiday Gift Bag

Designed to fit Linen-Cotton Canvas fat quarter but will fit the shorter width fabrics on a fat quarter with the instructions missing. I have lined the bag in the picture with my english winter village toile fabric available here (fat quarter is all you need) http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/3752626 Here are the instructions: 1. Cut out each pieces (1 front, 1 back, 2 straps). 2. Put front and back piece right sides together and sow along edges leaving top end open. 3. With right sides together fold one of the strap pieces in half lengthways. Sew along the long edge. Turn right side out with either safety pin or chop stick method. This is quite difficult to turn right side out with linen-cotton canvas but it is possible with patience as shown in the photo! 4. Press 1/2 inch seam allowance around the open edge of outer bag (folding towards the wrong side). 5. Pin the straps in place on the inside of the bag at desired position. Tack around the whole top edge of the bag, reinforcing your stitches over the straps. Press with care.
