Perfect combination of kitsch and farmhouse.
Recently made popular again by Martha Stewart, Milk glass is an opaque form of glass manufactured in America and England from around 1835 to the 1980s. Manufacturers added chemicals like feldspar to standard glass to achieve a saturated ivory hue. Later producers added colors, including blue, green, and pink. This design celebrates the vintage milk glass collector, featuring 15 unique glass items, including milk glass pitchers, milk glass tea cups, a milk glass juice reamer, a milk glass butter dish, milk glass plates, milk glass measuring cups, and various milk glass animal pieces. This colorway features green milk glass--also known as jadite, jadeite, or jade-ite, with colors taken directly from photos of real pink milk glass pieces. The green reflections show hints of blue and yellow, adding visual interest for close inspection. As a directional design, it would make great wallpaper for a retro kitchen backsplash or cute dishtowels to add a pop of color to a country white kitchen. This design was hand drawn and has the look of an oil painting.
