I've been fascinated by the shape of these boats ever since I saw one in a 1930s picture on the brag wall of the Sydney Flying Squadron (Australia's oldest open boat sailing club). Modern racing skiffs are a wonderful sight on Sydney Harbour - from the distance they look like a flight of water-borne butterflies. © Su Schaefer 2013 A related design, on the diagonal is 'Gaff-rigged skiffs, racing' (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/1933013) and 'Traditional sailor's jersey stripes' (http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/699292) is a coordinating stripe.
