This design is a tessellation of obtuse isosceles triangles based on the semi-regular grid of regular dodecagons and equilateral triangles (by joining the centres of the faces). It is also derived from the regular hexagon or equilateral triangle grids (by layering 2 of their primary derivatives). Currently displaying a version in a blended subset of colours common to the Synergy group's #9 movie and #2 apple palettes.
