This design is the rhombus derived from regular hexagon grid, equilateral triangle grid or semi-regular grid of hexagons and equilateral triangles. In this 3-way colouring scheme, the underlying symmetry is partially preserved (some triads and mirrors) but the unit cell size is tripled. Currently displaying an outlined version, with added holes, in Spoonflower's fifties contest palette.
