About the Design

Quilting panel and pillow-sized art illustration of a baby and moon is for children and baby nursery

© Nancy Lee Moran

This size works well for pillows and wall-hangings, also as a quilting panel and focus fabric. The panel size is 23 wide by 18 inches tall, with a white background. To have four complete panels, select a fabric-base that is at least 46 inches wide. Some examples are velvet and Minky (54 inches); jersey and sateen (56 inches); Lightweight Cotton Twill (58 inches). Get it on a fabric that is 54 inches wide, like "Cotton Lawn" or "Organic Cotton Sateen," so the whole design is included (as four panels). Considering the extra width, the price is similar to that of the Signature Petal Cotton. Find pretty backing fabrics in my "Whispering Daydreams" collection. https://www.spoonflower.com/collections/88338 Find pretty backing fabrics in my "Butterflies, Mushrooms, and Raspberries" collection. https://www.spoonflower.com/collections/167715 The wallpaper repeat is about 12 x 10 inches, half-brick pattern. For this "Imaginative Realism" art, I used Photoshop in 2016 to add color to my original colored-pencil drawing. My drawing of Nissi, this rabbit-baby, was a collaboration with bbflockling, who created the original doll. Minuet is the name of the moon, who is shown in this art as a father and as a mother.
