About the Design

A treat for winter holidays! A friendly squirrel snacks on a cranberry-popcorn garland in this

cheerful design.

Created from an oil painting, this snow design © Nancy Lee Moran has colors of green, rose-red, and gold. The fabric repeat is about 8 x 6 inches, basic pattern. The wallpaper repeat is about 12 x 10 inches, basic pattern. The fabric would be pretty in a mountain cabin and hotel, also in a ski lodge. Nature and wildlife lovers would enjoy gifts sewn from it. See Collection number 575071 for matching fabrics. "Wintertime and Christmas Treasures" Find the collection by entering its ID number 575071 in the Spoonflower search bar. In the drop-down menu, select "in Collections." Gold-star ornaments decorate a snowy blue-spruce tree. Artist Nancy Lee Moran sewed the cranberry strings and arranged them on a small tree in her yard, as references for her painting. Notes from the artist: Following a fresh snow in December 2013, I sewed garlands and draped them on a small spruce tree, for painting inspiration. My mother taught her children to string popcorn and cranberries at Christmas holidays. A long, fine needle works best to make garlands, so as not to crack the popcorn. Squirrels and birds enjoy these edible garlands. The ornament is in my own collection at home, but is silver in color. I hope you will show me the projects you create with my fabrics. It would be joy to see them.
