With this yard of fabric and 1/2 yard of batting or other lining material of choice, you can create a coordinated tea party set: a large tea cozy and four coordinating coasters. Keep it simple or embellish it with embroidery floss, quilt stitching, and beads. Spend the afternoon sewing a project and reward yourself with a nice afternoon tea.
The finished "Big Cozy" has a circumference of 30in at the widest point and fits my large teapot (About 10" from spout to handle) for when I am serving guests.
The fabric includes some of my favourite sights from the English countryside, where this was created, including boxing hares, thistle, cornflower, and foxglove flowers.
