2020.
Toile de Jouy is an old style of fabric design that started in 18th century France and typically depicted pastoral and cultural scenes. It's probably best known for showing white people relaxing in peaceful surroundings. Like many other designers, I love toile design but wanted to make it modern. It's a storytelling medium at its heart and was sometimes used to depict current events, so I thought the iconic imagery of the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests would be make a beautiful and impactful design. An excellent design for home decor items such as throw pillows and curtains, Toile de BLM is currently available in four colorways to match almost any design scheme.
