roses.
You may view the painting on which this design was based here: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/rose-duo-mary-wykes.html This is a digital color shift from the original design. Once upon a time, when I lived in Texas, I had an amazing antique rose garden. I had always wanted to live in the country and when my husband told me that was never going to happen, I told him the yard was mine. I told him I was going to turn our yard into a botanical garden. I went out that very day and started digging up our yard. Over the years it became well known in the neighborhood and I was known as La Señora de las Rosas (The Rose Lady). I loved to go out into the yard early in the morning and just walk around and see what was especially lovely that day. I am so glad I have those photos and like to use them as references for paintings. Voilá! That is how THIS fabric began. 7 or 8 years ago I created an acrylic painting of two roses and today I have used parts of that painting to create this layered rose design. I hope you enjoy it! You will find the design in several different sizes in the full collection so that it is easy to find a size that will work for your project. If YOU need a different size, please just ask. I will get it right up for you. Copyright - Mary Beglau Wykes - May 29, 2022
