This original pen and ink pattern drawn by Ray in 2008, depicts all the stages in a salmon's life cycle: egg, alevin, fry, parr, smolt, adult and spawners. Pacific Salmon are in the genus Oncorhynchus (on-Ko'-rink-us). They include Kings/Chinook, Cohos/Silver, Sockeye/Red, Chum/Dog, and Pink/Humpy. Steelhead/Rainbows, Cutthroats, Gila Trout, Masu and Apache Trout are also in the same genus. The extinct giant Spike Toothed Salmon is also depicted.
