I have a precious memory of walking with my daughter when she was about three, holding her hand and trying to embed the memory of her tiny hand in mine because I know how time passes all too quickly. When I close my eyes, I can still feel that tiny hand in mine. My daughter is now a grown woman, with a love of the sea... just like me. When I was little, my lovely Nan and Grandad used to take me on day trips to the coast. I loved sitting and 'people watching'. Grandad used to sit in his deckchair and tell me imaginary tales about the people in their beach huts. The anticipation I still feel as I walk the path to the sea makes my heart skip. The dusky pink draws inspiration from Farrow and Ball Paint shade Cinder Rose. And the delicate off-white background takes its inspiration from Farrow and Ball Paint shade All White.
