Bullfinches are lively, boisterous birds which live here in Scotland, and in this design, their bright pink chests reflect the colours of the cherry blossom. It is a design based on one of my two colour linocuts. It has a hand drawn grey leaf background. It was designed with wallpaper in mind, and in creating this, I have been influenced by Japanese artwork. This design would suit a feature wall, or could create drama in a small space such as a bathroom. If you would like to print it as a fabric, pick a fabric which holds detail well, such as satin.
