The contest theme of 'Botanical Sketchbook' reminded me of the little prints on the walls of my grandmother's house. I inherited a lovely blue and white porcelain tea set from her. Hence this scene depicting porcelain animals - the type you might find in a rambling old garden - surrounded by sprigs of this and that, some flowers, some weeds against a textured backdrop, that could easily be a rough linen table cloth. A rambling, botanically-inspired little tea party at the bottom of the garden.
