During the time of my childhood when we lived in Princeton New Jersey, my parents made me go to summer day camp, whether I wanted to go or not. (I did not). And every week, during camp, we did a recreational field trip. The beach would have been too long a drive for the limited hours of the camp, so we went to some stinky lake. I have no idea what the name of the lake was, but it had no beach, and kind of red edged water. And it smelled like everything in it had died. When I look at the central spiky circles, I see the relentless sun on those days. When I look at the art nouveau curls in the corners of each box in this design, I envision the lake side cat tail and seed stalk plants. And I see the little crayfish in those waters, and the color of the pale mud. I have no idea why looking at this design brings back memories of those forlorn summers. It wasn't bad enough that you had to spend your school days with children, but your parents forced you to spend your time off in the summer, with those savages too. But I am glad you can not smell a memory, or a design on Spoonflower, because if you could, this would be one smelly design.
