In 2016, ten thousand snow geese made a disastrous mistake after a long flight south, driven by a cold front and impending storm. Desperate for a rest, they landed in a massive swirl inside a toxic mine pit in Montana. The artist has been haunted by this story ever since, and when the Spoonflower "Arctic Animals" design competition surfaced, the choice of animal was clear: the artist's totem, the wild goose. In this spirit, a portion of the proceeds of all sales on this print and its coordinates will be donated to conservation efforts. This design is especially suited for fleece blankets, minky, luxe velvet, faux suede or knits, but would be equally beautiful in quilts (Kona or Organic sateen are highly recommended) or apparel knits.
