The Far North Region of Cameroon is hot and dry, with rural areas having little to no electricity. Many windows, especially in public buildings, are more like vents with fairly ornate designs for the concrete construction. The plaster walls are either whitewashed (to reflect the hot sun) or painted with a bright, happy color. This design is inspired by the window of one Orthodox church and the colors of another in the Far North of Cameroon.
