so opals are made up of tiny spheres of silica, these teensy beads are packed in there and reflect and refract the light making the rainbow colors we know and love, so I like dots, and opal is my birthstone, and opal fossils are even cooler than regular fossils, so here are dotty opal fossils. Imagine the dots are the tiny silica spheres :)
