Hawaii = red Maui = pink Lanai = orange Oahu = golden yellow* Molokai = green Kauai = violet Molokini = blue Can you find some hibiscus (state flower), too? [* I used more of a mustard yellow to fit a mid-century modern palette... so, a golden mustard? :) Also, Nihau's color is white and Kahoolawe's is silver gray, but I understand one of those islands is private and the other uninhabited (let me know if that's not so!)]
