Current size fits on quarter yard, with a little extra. Lightest/thinnest fabrics are cotton lawn, chiffon, poly crepe de Chine, poplin, gauze. I recommend cotton lawn, but they will all work. Imagine a velvet game board! Backgammon travel board with cues for marker placement. Feel free to use fabric and wallpaper decoratively, too.
