About the Design

'Redheads Revisited by Su_G' (https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/10630913): a fresh look at an old favourite and my entry in the '2021 Tea Towel Calendar' Design Challenge. © Su Schaefer 2020 I've wanted to do this design for so long and it has been so much fun! 'Evolution of a fiery redhead' by Gerard Hayes (2019, State Library Victoria Blog: Our Stories) (https://blogs.slv.vic.gov.au/our-stories/evolution-of-a-fiery-redhead/) is a great story on the place of redheads in Australian cultures. It was only when I lived in PNG that I learned how important safety matches are: much better than the kind that spontaneously explode on shop shelves. Includes cutting lines to make it easier to cut four tea towels from a yard of Linen Cotton Canvas (54 inches wide). Cut-and-sew: to complete the project: wash, iron, cut, hem (or zigzag) and give as gifts! See other tea towel calendars by Su_G. (https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/su_g?sort=classic) Ink pen on paper + line art, basic repeat. [Currently set @ Fabric: 150 ppi; sized for a Linen Cotton Canvas FQ & Roostery FQ tea towel]
