Hercules series of prints is inspired by the Hercules moth - one of the giants of the moth world and
indigenous to the Daintree Rainforest.
I have been fascinated by designs in nature all my life. From colour combos to the patterns on living creatures. One of my favourite creatures to draw and create pattern from are moths and butterflies. Here is one inspired by the Hercules moth of tropical Queensland. Hercules moths are indigenous to the Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage listed zone and I might not far from my studio.
