Every detail of Design R Dogs patterns are, from concept to finish, hand-drawn and painted by me. I especially love the timeless beauty and storytelling of 18th-century toile de Jouy. I’ve created vignettes flowing with the energy, lifestyles, and personalities of the dogs we love. My Première Collection focuses on Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers; watch for more breeds to gait into an array of color and design choices!
My background in fashion and costume design, my career as a L.A.-based interior designer, and my daughter, Riley’s, special connection with animals have brought me to the dogs. Riley jumped into the world of dog shows for fun and to learn about all breeds. Riley’s Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Griffin, was her first show dog. Her deep connection with Griffin, and then his passing, led my daughter to pursue a career as a veterinarian. This inspires me to create art for her dogs — and yours! Design R Dogs is named for Riley. Our Wheaten Terrier, JayCe, our two Russell Terriers, Indy and Elle, and all their doggy friends continually inspire us.
