For the 1920s Design Challenge, I wanted to create a print that was inspired by 1920s fabrics and not just pictures of things from the 1920s. There is a small swatch of silk fabric in the textiles collection at the Met Museum by Maria Likarz, dated 1928. This is not a copy or reproduction of that design, but my re-imagining of that swatch. I was inspired by the shapes and colors in that design; I can't decide if they are feathers or trees in the original. I drew my own feather trees and added the striped dots to create an abstract forest with a 1920s style.
